King crab is my one of my most favorite crustaceans to eat. I spent a lot of time in Alaska and would eat King Crab at least 5 times a week. It was expensive, but soo good. I posted a version of King crab on my social media pages (Tik Tok @DrFLavor) (IG @HesGotFlavor) and everyone always ask about the sauce. This King Crab recipe is baked with Sriracha lemon butter. Baking the crab legs produce a juicy and sweet dish which I prefer over boiling or steaming. Here I will show you how to make the sauce. Heres What You'll Need (Mix all ingredients together)
1.5 lb King Crab
1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature
1 tbsp Sriracha (adjust to taste)
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tbsp old bay seasoning
1tsp smoked paprika (extra for dusting)
2 tbsp chopped parsley
TIPS FOR COOKING ALASKAN KING CRAB
Frozen crabs can be salty so, boiling, steaming or baking the crab legs without salty is suggested.
Cut king crab legs into shorter pieces as this makes them easier to eat.
For the best oven baked flavors, use a pair of scissors to cut open the top part of the shell as pictured above. This will expose the crab meat for oven roasting. It also allows the butter to absorb inside the crab legs which gives it great flavor.
